The large library, also on the same floor, has a balcony overlooking the garden and the distant Esterel hills, and is a pleasant room in which to relax. It contains fiction and non-fiction books which include theology, biography, sociology and counselling books. There are also books and leaflets about local attractions. |

Montauroux commune has about five thousand inhabitants. Round the square one finds the Mairie and a variety of shops and bars. There are several restaurants in the village and three butchers who often have tasty ready-made meals. One can have a drink in the square whilst watching the world go by or see the locals playing pétanque.
